Summary: KetoSnap AI works without an account. You do not sign up or give us your email, name, or a password to use the app. We process the food photos you scan, the keto and diet data you generate, your purchase status, and basic in-app usage so the app can work. We treat your diet and keto data as sensitive. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, we do not track you across apps, and we do not sell your personal information. You can delete your data at any time in the app.

1. Who We Are

KetoSnap AI: Carb Scanner (the “app” or the “Service”) is operated by Fuentes Digital Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information on iOS and Android. 2. The App Works Without an Account

KetoSnap AI is anonymous by default. When you first open the app, we automatically create an anonymous identity for your install so your data stays associated with your device. You do not create an account, log in, or provide an email, name, or password to use the app. You may optionally set a display name in your Profile, but it is not required, and you can delete your data at any time (see Section 8 and how to delete your account).

3. Information We Process

We process only what the app needs to work. These categories match the disclosures in our Google Play Data Safety form and Apple App Privacy label.

  • Food photos: The photos you take to scan food. They are uploaded to our cloud storage and sent to our AI provider to estimate nutrition. Photos you save to your pantry are kept until you delete the item or your account.
  • Keto and diet data you generate: Scanned foods, macros, keto scores, pantry items, AI-generated recipes, your daily carbohydrate limit, measurement preference, activity streak, and an optional display name. We treat this as sensitive information (see Section 5).
  • Usage analytics: In-app events (for example, that a scan happened or a recipe was generated), stored in our own database. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
  • Purchase data: If you subscribe, your purchase and subscription status is processed through our subscription provider and the app stores. We never receive your full payment card details.
  • Barcode numbers: When you scan a packaged product barcode, only the barcode number (no personal data) is sent to a third-party nutrition database to look up product information.
  • Push notification token: Collected only if you turn on notifications, so we can deliver them.
  • Anonymous identifier: A random identifier for your app install, used to keep your data associated with your device and to manage your subscription.

What we do not collect. We do not require or collect your email, name (a display name is optional), or password. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, calendar, messages, or web browsing history. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Analyze your food: process your photos and barcodes to estimate keto scores and macros.
  • Generate recipes: create keto recipes and recipe images (a Premium feature).
  • Run the app: maintain your pantry, history, streak, carb limit, and preferences.
  • Manage subscriptions: process and track your purchases and subscription status.
  • Improve the app: use our own in-app analytics to understand and improve how the Service works.
  • Notifications: send the notifications you enable.
  • Security and anti-abuse: keep the Service secure and enforce fair use limits.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (for sensitive health and diet data and for notifications), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sensitive and Health Data

Your keto scores, macros, carbohydrate limit, scan history, pantry items, and recipes describe your diet and can reveal health-related information. We treat this as sensitive information, use it only to provide the Service to you, and do not sell it or share it for third-party purposes.

6. Subprocessors and Third Parties

We use a small number of trusted service providers (subprocessors) that process data on our behalf solely to operate the Service, not for their own purposes.

  • Cloud hosting: a cloud provider hosts our database, file storage, authentication, and serverless functions. Region: US East (North Virginia), us-east-1.
  • AI processing: our AI provider receives your food images and text to estimate nutrition and generate recipes. It does not use your inputs to train its models and retains them only briefly to monitor for abuse.
  • Recipe images: an image-generation provider receives recipe text (name and description) to create recipe images. No personal data is sent.
  • Subscriptions: a subscription-management provider receives your purchase and receipt data and an anonymous identifier.
  • Packaged-product nutrition: a third-party nutrition database receives only the scanned barcode number (no personal data).
  • App delivery and notifications: a provider supports app delivery and push notifications.
  • Payments: the Apple App Store and Google Play process all payments; we never receive your full card details. See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

These providers act as our processors and may use your data only to provide their services to us. A current list of our specific subprocessors is available on request at contact@ketosnapai.com. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Retention and Security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We keep your information for as long as it stays in your app (for example, a pantry item is kept until you delete it). When you delete your account, we permanently delete your food photos, scan history and keto results, recipes, pantry items, preferences, activity, and optional display name. Limited purchase and transaction records may be retained by the app stores and our subscription provider where required by law. Requests sent by email are processed within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: delete your data at any time in the app. See how to delete your account.
  • Portability: request your information in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Restriction or objection: ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.

EEA and UK (GDPR)

You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion and correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, as well as the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

9. Children's Privacy

KetoSnap AI is a general-audience app. Although it carries an all-ages content rating on the app stores, it is intended for adults managing a ketogenic diet and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@ketosnapai.com and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers where required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will provide notice in the app.
